Easterseals Hawaii Set to Recognize Easterseals National Organization’s 100th Anniversary
Easterseals Hawaii (ESH) will celebrate Easterseals National’s 100th Anniversary at the historic Washington Place in Honolulu on Wednesday, October 23. The celebration honors 100 years of service for the leading nonprofit organization serving one-in-four Americans living with disabilities.
Angela Williams, CEO of Easterseals National, Hawaii’s First Lady Dawn Amano-Ige and Lieutenant Governor Josh Green will be among the special guests at the celebration. ESH leadership will also present Carleton L. Williams, Founding Partner of CW Associates, CPAs with the first Easterseals Hawaii Kahiau Award. The award recognizes Mr. Williams for his selfless generosity and service as a board member, donor and friend to ESH for more than three decades, helping ensure that thousands of individuals with special needs and their families have access to the best treatments and care in Hawaii.
“Easterseals Hawaii congratulates Easterseals National for its century of service as our national advocate for individuals with disabilities,” said Jennifer La‘a, President and CEO of ESH. “As we come together to celebrate this milestone, we also take this time to reflect and honor Easterseals Hawaii’s own rich history of service over the past 73 years to the special needs community in Hawaii. We are grateful for the aloha of our national and local community partners whose generous support helps us to continue being the largest provider of special needs services for individuals and families in our state.”
